Since Thanksgiving . . .

I haven't blogged in a while so I thought I'd give you an update in my life.

I'm currently house sitting. I've got 5 horses, three cats, and a dog at the house I'm staying at. It's fun but it's challenging. The last week or so there's been horrible freezing temps. That means in the morning and evenings, I have to kick through ice in order for the horses to have something to drink.

Not. Fun.

At. All.

Not only is the water frozen . . . so are the droppings.

Yeah.

It's really weird to try mucking stalls and not be able to pick up poop because it's frozen to the ground. You have to kick it, sometimes. I'm thankful they're mostly frozen all the way through because otherwise you wouldn't catch me ever kicking fresh horse poop.

The dog is fine and so are the cats. It's just this crazy icy weather! I'm zapped of energy and freezing all the time.

Plus, this is the longest I've ever house-sat for anyone -- 15 days. I didn't realize how long that was until the ice was there. This would be a sweet gig if this were summer . . .

So, yeah. That's about all that's going on in my life. Let the horses out at 8AM and feed them. Hang out in the barn doing barn-ly things until 9AM. Go to sleep. Wake up at 4PM; do more barn-ly things and feed the horses. Head to work at 8:30PM. Work until 7AM and repeat.

No time for family or friends, it seems like.

I can't wait for my weekend -- one more workday!

I also received my juicer in the mail. It looks epic-ly awesome! I can't wait to use it. I've decided I'm going to start in January (cliche, I know, but I'm feeling too exhausted right now to even contemplate planning a menu). I think my roommate, LB, will be joining me, so that'll be pretty cool.

K, my sister, did a bit of juice fasting. She lost 9 lbs! Good on her! I'm not sure where she's at with it, but I hope she keeps up with it. I'm super proud and excited for her.

My uncle, R, is going to marry his partner, B. They're coming in around the 17th or 20th and will be here for Christmas and perhaps New Years (both holidays which I get to work this year. Yuck). R will be heading back to Florida on the 4th of the New Year, I think.

And that's all I've got for the moment.

No idea what Christmas is going to look like.

Cheers, for now. ;)
